Eid Mubarak to all of my friends,
Old and New,
No matter where you might be.
In the deepest dungeon,
On a high cliff,
Sandwiched between two walls of despair.
Surrounded by love and company
Smothered, not knowing that you had wings
Our hearts go out to you
May Allah t’ala accept your every effort
Rekindle your fire
Wake you from the mire
Redouble your efforts
Dust off your coat
Prepare,
For even when plans go amiss
It’s the preparation that enables you
To move and act
Victory is yours for the taking
Do not be humble
Until it shines on your face.
And Ramadan is just that
A preparation before
The act.
